Oils
"I love the richness of oil paint. I don't use oils in a traditional way but I apply the paint thinly so that it often appears semi-transparent letting the brilliance of the surface I am working on illuminate the painting."

Acrylics
"Acrylics give me the freedom to slowly build up tone and depth in my paintings through a many layered process. This is particularly helpful when I am trying to achieve a very subtle atmosphere, often in a landscape painting".
